If you have a kitchen then you are likely to have a microwave, how you use it may vary, it could just be for heating up a meal, warming up your cup of coffee or every evening meal involves this device. Rice is always a tricky one to get right and with boil in a bag it is now a lot easier, however Lekue have come up with a clever way that allows you to turn your Microwave into a rice cooker using their clever silicone container.
The Lekue Microwave Rice and Grain Cooker is basically a silicone container box that looks like something you would keep your lunch in. Although from the outside it doesn’t look like much its clever design allows you to easily steam rice and get it right every time. Open up the container and add your rice and tap water, place the lid back open and leave it to cook in the microwave. Once done you can serves on a plate or just let people dig in and serve themselves from the container.
As well as rice the Lekue Microwave Rice and Grain Cooker can also cook barley, oats, couscous and more. It is a great device that is so simple, it is easy to use, and easy to wash after. Check out the video below to see how easy it is to use.
When using this make sure to take note of your microwaves max power, results will be varied and disappointing if you just set to full power as your microwave maybe more powerful then needed and a lower setting would give the desired results. Take note of the instructions as the product is for an 800 watt microwave and many home microwave s are 1000 watts.
