NewAir AW210ED Streamline 21 Bottle Dual Review

You know reviews can be a funny thing, and can depend greatly upon how you came across the item you are reviewing. The difficult part is remaining completely impartial but when someone receives something as a gift but don’t want it and then give you it as a gift, well, you don’t look a gift horse in the mouth do you? That’s how I come to be reviewing the NewAir AW210ED, and I have to say it’s one of the best presents I’ve ever been given.

The Design

This is personally why I think I came to be in possession of this wine fridge as while my friend is somewhat of a traditionalist I am very much a modern girl. This model is swish, swanky and right up my street. The cool, clean lines of the black body and door frames give way to large, curved stainless steel handles. Being dual zone is has 2 doors and when the blue, LED interior light it switched on it really has the wow factor as it bounces off the chrome shelving. This light also illuminates the control panel which I personally think is really neat.

Being dual zone it has 2 separate compartments each with its own individual temperature control. The top one is the smallest and I use this for the whites as there’s an awful lot less of that consumed in our household than of the red variety. The individual push button control panels have digital displays so you can fine tune each area to the exact temperature you want. Got a celebration coming up? Whack some Champers into the top, turn down the temp and you have ice cold bubbly on tap.

I’m also loving the fact its thermoelectric so there are no vibration and it runs as quiet as a whisper. Why do I love this so much? Because I have this bad boy in my dining room and don’t want my genial hostess with the mostest witty banter to be drowned out by a bloody annoying drone in the corner. Think standing chatting in the kitchen next to the fridge to get an idea of what am talking about. While it is built to accommodate 21 bottles the shelves are fully removable if you want to store larger or strange shaped ones.

Bottom Line

I love this dual zone wine fridge and it fits in perfectly with my personal style of décor. Being a free standing model you can put it anywhere you choose really, and I’m quite surprised my friend didn’t put it in his garage but don’t tell him that or he might want it back! Not having bought this wine fridge I had to do my research price wise and was very pleasantly surprised considering that it’s both dual zone and thermoelectric. Anyone looking for a mid sized wine fridge which ticks all the boxes as far as design and performance are concerned will be hard pressed to find a better one than this.
